Rush Hour |
|
August 3 |
"Then the SPIRIT took me
up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing ..." Ezekiel
3:12
|
|
"... it may just
be that the SPIRIT of GOD has touched down to take you up!"
|
Wherever you find GOD among men, there is a disturbance.
Holy clouds never pass over sinful ground without some sort of
convection. "And
again HE entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was
noised that HE was in the house."
It was always thus with the SAVIOR; a
turbulence followed HIM throughout HIS brief time here on earth,
culminating with all the commotion of Calvary. Amidst the
gathering clouds of HIS imminent return, take with you these
three suggestions to profit from the 'Rush Hour' of GOD'S
presence:
-
Fight through the dust storms of men's religious activity
until you arrive at the vortex of HIS presence.
"Woe to the multitude
of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas;
and to the rushing of nations ..."
All the laws of physics are null and void
when HE shows up, it will be unmistakable, and inexplicable!
"And when they
had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled
together ..."
-
Flee to every SPIRIT led uproar, for it is there that
the chariots have swung low.
"I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures
that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over
against them, and a noise of a great rushing."
You will arrive to find an insurrection of righteousness
grappling to take back the souls of men. Find your spot
along the lines of HIS advance, and flee no more.
-
Follow closely all those who have ever stood in Spiritual
rush hour.
"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing
mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting
... And they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST ..."
They are easily
distinguished, going
against the natural flow of the sinful hordes being carried along by the
gentle breezes of Hell.
The
chariots make up the 'close air support' of the Hosts of
the LORD.
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will
remember the NAME of the LORD our GOD."
Don't lose sight of HE WHO commands this ground offensive.
The effect of HIS tactic here is only as successful, as it is
unpredictable.
"The chariots of GOD
are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the LORD is among
them, as in Sinai, in the holy place."
Is
there a furor in your soul? Refuse to ignore it; it may
just be that the SPIRIT of GOD has touched down to take you up!
"... there appeared a
chariot of fire, and horses of fire ... and Elijah went up by a
whirlwind into heaven."

Provincial Congress of Massachusetts
(April 15, 1775, four days before the
famous: Battle of Lexington) |
"In circumstances dark as these, it becomes us, as Men
and Christians, to reflect that, whilst every prudent
Measure should be taken to ward off the impending Judgments
... All confidence must be withheld from the Means we use;
and reposed only on that GOD WHO rules in the Armies of
Heaven, and without WHOSE Blessing the best human Counsels
are but Foolishness -- and all created Power Vanity;"
