How we perceive sin is ultimately how we will treat it.
If sin is to be dealt
with Biblically, it must be viewed from the unsullied vantage of
the HOLY GHOST.
Whether we admit it or not, we are the most biased persons on
the planet when it comes to our sin.
That which we would never excuse or tolerate in others,
is regularly brushed under the rug personally.
"Behold, happy is the man whom GOD correcteth: therefore despise
not thou the chastening of the ALMIGHTY:”
The fact that sin has broken us, and we are in need of healing
is a foundational theme throughout Scripture.
Sin, with Satan, and their power to
“steal, and to kill, and to
destroy” is indisputable; and a life yielded to the
flesh soon turns to a vocation of dislocation.
GOD purposely and personally steps in to manage a crash,
and hobble HIS own, who willfully get into the vehicle of sin,
and begin to enjoy the ride.
In spite of this, our ducts are dry over sin; yet run
like rivers over the curse and commensurate discomfort it produces.
“If we confess our sins, HE is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.”
We flee to counselors of every sort seeking
relief of the symptoms, while steadfast in denial of the cause.
“… the blood of JESUS CHRIST HIS
SON cleanseth us from all sin.”
HIS blood is the only balm known to man, able
to cleanse our wounds of wickedness, and heal our scars of sin.
“There is no soundness in my flesh
because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones
because of my sin.”
Here we lie, however, in the spiritual traction of
HIS displeasure and judgment; and instead of confessing, and
convalescing under the cure, we defiantly attempt to pull out
the tubes, and limp out of Grace General under our own power.
How many are the Christian paraplegics suffering over
lost bouts with the cancer of sin?
“Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I
am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.”
The sole, effective, chemo to combat, and
rid these bodies of death of sin’s power, is the ongoing
infusion of CHRIST'S pure red cells of grace.
“The SPIRIT of the LORD is upon ME, because HE hath anointed ME
to preach the gospel to the poor; HE hath sent ME to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that
are bruised”
