Have you ever stopped to consider the prodigious choreography
involved in the charge of GOD?
"And they shall take all the instruments of ministry,
wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a
cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins,
and shall put them on a bar:" What a wonder it is to take the
multi-faceted sections of an orchestra and blend them into one
magnificent piece. How much greater a wonder when the
instruments of HIS church are blended in blessed harmony.
If it ministers, it has been orchestrated, and in the church,
the Maestro is the MASTER! The
Old Testament ministers carried their instruments, but those who
truly minister according to the New Testament bear the SPIRIT of
HIS instrumentation (cf. Galatians 5:22-25).
"Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness
unto sin: but yield yourselves unto GOD, as those that are alive
from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness
unto GOD." Are you a
redeemed instrument of GOD? If so, stand in your place,
play your part, and bear your burden in the gospel orchestra of
saving grace. Be watchful of the MAESTRO ... knowing that
the baton of HIS Word is perfect to orchestrate your life into
harmony with HIM.
"This charge I commit unto thee, ...
war a good warfare;"
Don't lose sight of the fact that the burden is the
charge, and never allow those roles to reverse!
Biblically, HE has led the charge; and simply commands that we
now follow donned with the armor of the ALMIGHTY. The
charge is into the very valley of the shadow of death with
nothing more than the vestments of gospel light.
"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their
deeds were evil."
One day soon enough, you'll join the victors march
through the gates of Glory; but until then, remember, we are
sent to the front of faith's lines; so as you obey the charge,
expect hostilities to erupt. May the MAESTRO grant
us a sweet addiction in aiding HIM as HE tunes the instruments
of our life to fulfill HIS every charge.
"... they have addicted themselves
to the ministry of the saints"
"Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received
mercy, we faint not;"
