Has it ever occurred to
you that the only person whom we never knowingly deceive is
ourselves. We are convinced we are right in any given
matter or else we would change, would we not? Pride may blind and influence
our reason, but the perception always seems right. In
regard to the present, future, and eternal; all things
"seemeth" just fine;
and from the Garden to now, man left to himself, has
consistently misjudged himself. Born in sin, we are
selfish, subjective, and biased; thus only a sinless, selfless,
objective, and candid SAVIOR can help. When we at once
glance into the Word of GOD, our perception has the opportunity
be forever changed. HIS Word is held as a Mirror, allowing
us to view our present and past; and if embraced, the Mirror becomes a
Gospel Glass magnifying our vision into the future and eternal.
If rejected, the Mirror is removed, and a man is returned to his
fallen perception and delusional state. Hindsight is only
20\20 if we are honest at the Mirror! I question whether
breaking a mirror brings seven years of bad luck, but forsaking
this Mirror will, without question, beget an eternal misfortune.
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In
whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of CHRIST,
WHO is the image of GOD, should shine
unto them."
Christian, are you
faithfully holding forth the Mirror of life?
"For we are unto GOD a sweet savour of
CHRIST, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the
one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the
savour of life unto life. ..." The willfully gullible
will one day unwittingly arrive at the House of Mirrors only to
be turned away unto the house of horrors (cf.
Revelation
20:11-15).
Those who choose "a way" by
default loose "the Way" and
though it "seemeth right"
to them, it ends in the "ways of
death"
"I
am the Way, ... no man cometh unto the FATHER, but by ME."
