You can mark it down, it is impossible to integrate with the
inanimate. "Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM: ..."
Job held fast to his integrity because he was fully integrated
with his GOD by an insoluble bond of love
"... charity, which is the bond of perfectness."
Satan falsely assumed Job an idolater, and sought his
disintegration based on that misguided premise.
"And the LORD said unto Satan, whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,
from going
to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."
Sin is a sellers market, and in it's vast superstore, Satan
roams the aisles looking for the deal of a life. False
gods come at a bargain and if held in lieu of the true GOD, you
will sell. Is your life a 'Blue-Light' for idolatry ... do
you have a price? The segregated in sin bear a sticker,
the integrated in CHRIST have already been purchased (cf.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Christians are not extracted from the market, just placed on the
top shelf and out of the Devil's reach apart from assistance.
"Where there is no vision, the people perish: ..."
The point of Job was not to prove GOD, Satan, or even Job; but
that Job might see GOD clearer than he ever had before.
"I have heard of THEE by the hearing
of the ear: but now mine eye seeth THEE. Wherefore I abhor
myself, and repent in dust and ashes." Those
with no vision see the saga of Job as tragic, but in a truth, it
was a most exquisite reach of GOD to the top shelf, that all the
world might taste the juice of a saint squeezed in HIS precious
hand. At the end of
the day, Satan was confounded, Job was enlightened, and GOD was
glorified.
Are you prone to
fainting spells at the sight of trial? If so, integrate
with the LORD anew, that HE might cause your integrity to shine
like gold in the very crucible of the harshest Satan has to
offer.
"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of
the LORD in the land of the living."
