What a blessing, what a
reward ... awaiting the imminent death of a child, and then to
discover that faith works, and your child returns to your arms.
Doubt stands at the crossroads of decision; and it is there that
either fear or faith will win our heart. The former
questions your motives and impugns GOD'S character; the latter
follows with unequivocal courage.
"But without faith it is impossible to
please HIM: for he that cometh to GOD must believe that HE is,
and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM."
Faith may go, or faith
may stay, but at the end of the day, faith will always obey.
"Esteeming the reproach of CHRIST greater riches than the
treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of
the reward." Moses learned well the lessons of
faith from his mother; and would grow up to turn his back on the
world, and his face toward the promised land. How many of
us though rob ourselves of the reward GOD has in store by
failing to fill the ark and leave it in the flags of HIS sure
and tender care? How vast must be the refuse of unclaimed
rewards behind the Service Counter of saving grace? There
its mass is constantly expanding, compiled by those who refuse
HIS every offer and forfeit faith's every recompense.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of GOD, and HIS
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
The formula
remains unchanged by the eons of time, in spite of the post
modern Church of Narcissism so prevalent about us; seeking the
reward while shunning HIS righteousness.
"Also I heard the voice of the LORD, saying, whom shall I send,
and who will go for US? Then said I, here am I; send me.
And HE said, go ..."
It may not be simple coincidence that 'go'
is the first two letters of both GOD and gospel.
Regardless though, "go" is
essential to obedient faith and it's commensurate reward. Where in fear have you
not gone in faith for GOD? It is there that your reward
awaits to be claimed.
"And Moses said unto the people, fear not: for GOD is come to
prove you, and that HIS fear may be before your faces, that ye
sin not."
