Seeds need ground to
germinate, and it is no different with the soul:
"... that ye, being rooted
and grounded in love".
But it is dank and dark, deadly to my personal growth strategy;
and no one knows the course I take. Exactly! ... but it is
there alone, where GOD can break down the life, to one day break
fresh ground that you might grow in HIS grace and knowledge.
"But we see JESUS, WHO
was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of
death, crowned with glory and honour; that HE by the grace of
GOD should taste death for every man. For it became HIM,
for WHOM are all things, and by WHOM are all things, in bringing
many sons unto glory, to make the CAPTAIN of their salvation
perfect through sufferings."
The germination of Gethsemane was
none other than JESUS CHRIST, WHO as the
only begotten, was planted here among us so as to pollinate souls unto
salvation.
"Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish
in the courts of our GOD."
Are you determined to be a seed store saint? ... You know,
sitting on the shelf, in your original package for all to view,
yet fruitless and dead. Let it not be so! ... for the LORD of
the soil holds ready the place of your planting.
"And he shall be like a
tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his
fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and
whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
HE works there, just below the surface,
where soon the tender shoot of new life breaks through to
flourish unto
fruit bearing.
"For if we have been
planted together in the likeness of HIS death, we shall be also
in the likeness of HIS resurrection:"
Though the picture on our package is
misleading to behold, the MASTER of the garden has never once
been blighted. Rest assured, every seed which falls
"into the good ground
is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also
beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some
sixty, some thirty."
Fall dead into the ground HE chooses, and see for yourself, that
miraculous things sprout up soon after the sowing!
In all of this beware
of those
upstart truck farms of religion, which promise life with no
death. They are marked by the granite of their founders,
whose tombs are still occupied.
"Every plant, which MY
heavenly FATHER hath not planted, shall be rooted up."
