Do you ever ponder the awesome and
comprehensive hand of the LORD?
"O
LORD, how manifold are THY works! in wisdom hast THOU made them
all: ..."
Though some have tried, HIS power is impossible to alliterate;
and though HE is the Alpha and Omega, the breadth of HIS Deity
is far beyond A to Z. "In the
beginning, GOD created ...
And GOD saw every thing that HE had made, and, behold, it was
very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day"
... while the account of Genesis states that HE completed it
in six literal days, the splendor of what HE set in motion
"in the beginning" still wows
any thinking crowd to this day.
"WHO hath measured the waters in the hollow of HIS hand, and
meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the
earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the
hills in a balance? ... Behold, the nations are as a drop of a
bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance:
behold, HE taketh up the isles as a very little thing."
Has it ever occurred to
you that all of the universe's deepest secrets, and most
inexplicable mysteries, are but a sandbox in scope relative
to HIS omniscient omnipotence?
"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold WHO hath created these
things, that bringeth out their host by number: HE calleth them
all by names by the greatness of HIS might, for that HE is
strong in power; not one faileth."
A humiliating truth which should scoff at us, but doesn't, is
the fact that what we spend billions on to explore, HE knows by
name ... even the stars we have yet to find. Oh that some
good ol' fashioned humility in the science community might end all
the puny speculation about our worlds; and divert much needed
funds to better serve humanity.
"MINE hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and MY
right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they
stand up together." WHO else but GOD could call
out to all of creation and make it both stand, and take heed!
HE hath made and commanded all that is; and yet from Baalam's
ass, to Jonah's fish, to all the demons of the New Testament
combined, the baser sort of what HIS hands hath fashioned, have
consistently out performed the crown of HIS creation.
"The heavens declare the
glory of GOD; and the firmament sheweth HIS handywork. Day
unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth
knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their
voice is not heard."
Only man, created in
the very image of GOD HIMSELF, holds the audacity to gaze into
Heaven and brazenly declare: "there is
no GOD." At this pronouncement, the fool
simultaneously eases his conscience, and erases his name from
the Book of Life.
"Let them praise the NAME of the LORD: for HE commanded, and
they were created."
