How tolerable are you when
it comes to tainted truth? There are, in our world, a
thousand and one things we can disagree about; but the nucleus
of GOD'S Word is non-negotiable. None other than the great
apostle Paul was willing to call down curses upon the heads of
those would-be gospel robbers of his day. This, by the
way, was the same Paul who commanded:
"If it be possible, as
much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."
Because every child of GOD has
gained their knowledge of the true gospel through a personal
encounter with the LORD; the truth of that good news
should become their most cherished possession, and jealously guarded
treasure. The genuinely saved are grafted into CHRIST, and
any who touch the gospel, touch the apple of HIS eye, thus
sending nerve impulses to every member of the body.
"Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of CHRIST, hath
not GOD. He that abideth in the doctrine of CHRIST, he hath both
the FATHER and the SON. If there come any unto you, and
bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house,
neither bid him GOD speed: for he that biddeth him GOD speed is
partaker of his evil deeds."
Whole schools of ecumenism indoctrinate
their followers to live and let live regarding gospel
distinctive. It is however, understood by the truly regenerate that
this is not just intolerable, it is damnable!
"Neither is there
salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Other gospels never stage a frontal assault on the true one.
They instead fire at the flanks, seeking to merely hobble pure
faith, that the first aid station of Hell might dispatch its
demonic ambulances. If gospel, as Biblically understood,
is the good news that CHRIST died, was buried, and rose again as
the full payment for sin; then "any
other gospel", which seem to come like the seasons,
is not good news by any stretch. Every one, without fail, inject
truth with the poison of human works, thus stripping the
finished work of our SAVIOR of both its intent and effect.
That I must do something of myself to either be saved, or stay
that way, is the Devil's verse of curse; and ends the day with extremely
bad news! One of the dominant morals of Galatians is: If
any ol' gospel will do in a pinch, then perhaps you should pinch
yourself regarding the validity of your salvation.
"If any man love not the
LORD JESUS CHRIST, let him be Anathema (cursed)
Maranatha."
