"The all
sufficient strength
of the LORD is inexhaustible; but not guaranteed."
|
The all sufficient strength of the LORD
is
inexhaustible; but not guaranteed. A simple run of the
concordance reveals, that in order to optimize HIS strength,
ours must diminish. Once sought on HIS terms however, the
seeker may rest assured that the source, WHO is our SAVIOR, will
not fail us. Consider these Scriptural principles in your
quest to be: "strong and of a good
courage" as you live out your Christian life.
-
The strength of GOD comes at our
acknowledged need of it:
"God is our refuge
and strength, a very present help in trouble."
-
The beginning of HIS strength comes at
the end of ours:
"HE giveth power to
the faint; and to them that have no might HE increaseth
strength."
-
Embrace all your weakness as an
invitation for HIS strength:
"And HE said unto me,
MY grace is sufficient for thee: for MY strength is made
perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities, that the power of CHRIST may rest
upon me."
-
Strength will not come to you, you
must go to it:
"Seek the LORD and
HIS strength ..."
-
Realize that enduring strength
requires your patience:
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength
..."
-
Distill HIS strength, and return it in
love to HIM:
"And thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD ... with all thy
strength: this is the first commandment ... I will love
THEE, O LORD, my strength."
-
Recognize that HIS strength is
inextricably tied to your salvation:
"The LORD is my strength and song, and HE is become my
salvation:"
-
Cast no confidence in any strength of
your own:
"If thou faint in the
day of adversity, thy strength is small."
-
Hold a teachable heart in the art of
employing HIS strength:
"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to
war, and my fingers to fight:"
-
Recognize HIS strength
as the path to perfection in the Christian life:
"GOD is my strength
and power: and HE maketh my way perfect."

disapprove, how can we afterward defend our work? Let
us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can
repair; the event is in the Hand of GOD!"
