Bedrooms and Bathrooms Hot Cleaning Spots

She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness.  Proverbs 31:27Bedroom

A few areas that we tend to overlook can be tackled this week.  Remember the Master Bedroom is the quiet sanctuary for you and your husband.  Make it a pleasant and uncluttered room.  It's a good idea to establish ground rules for the children, such as:  do not enter without permissions, knock before entering, what you bring in with you leaves with you, don't borrow anything without permission (especially for teenagers:), and return what was borrowed.

 Monday:  Beds

  • Flip/rotate mattress.
  • Spray mattress and pillows with sanitizing spray.
  • Clean out from under the bed.
  • When changing bed linens this week, try a new look with a different comforter or bedspread and pillows.

 Tuesday:  Cosmetics

  • Throw away old cosmetics that have not been used in a long time or are outdated.
  • Soak brushes and combs in a sanitizing solution.
  • Wipe off/clean cosmetics cases from all of those smudges.
  • Organize, use a special drawer or basket.
Wednesday:  Toilet
  • Clean top of tank, sides and the base.
  • Clean toilet lid and seat, again a toothbrush is handy for those hinges.
  • Clean inside of toilet, extra thorough, use a toothbrush for under the rim if necessary.
Thursday:  Under Sink
  • Take everything out and clean.
  • Throw away empty or outdated items (old shampoos, hairsprays, lotions etc..).
  • Wipe down items.
  • Place the items back in an organized manner, grouped by function, least used to the back, most used toward front.

Friday:  Scales

  • Dust off those bathroom scales and check their accuracy, replace batteries if needed.
