Chicken Parmesan

A healthy, low fat,
low cost recipe.
Total Cost: $12.00 Serves:
6 at
$2.00 per serving.
Ingredients:
- 6 chicken breast,
boneless, all visible fat trimmed
- 1 Cup Parmesan mix,
(1/2 cup wheat flour, 1/2 cup parmesan,
seasoned with garlic, onion salt, paprika)
- 26 ounce can of spaghetti sauce with
mushrooms and green peppers
- 1 Cup mozzarella cheese , shredded
Directions to Prepare:
- Preheat:
Oven at 400 degrees.
- Coat :
Chicken breast in parmesan mix.
- Layer:
Chicken in bottom of greased 9 x 13
casserole pan.
- Bake:
Chicken for 20 minutes or until juices are
clear.
- Pour:
Spaghetti sauce evenly on top and continue
baking until sauce is bubbly.
- Top: With
mozzarella cheese
- Return:
To oven until cheese is melted.
- Serve:
With steamed broccoli seasoned with Mrs. Dash garlic & herb and
butter flakes
Meat Tenderizing Tip: 1/4 c vinegar, 2 T oil
and spices of your choice (Italian dressing works good) with meat in
a sealed bag for a minimum of 2 hours.
