Pinch & Stake
- Remove faded bulb foliage or dig up to transplant in Autumn.
- Remove dead flowers, stalks, and stems of perennials.
- Pinch new growth on tomatoes and stake.
Plant & Weed
- Plant again: carrots, beets, etc...
- Weed all gardens.
Mulch & Water
- Add summer mulch.
- Water lawn and all plants deeply.

Planning and Design Tip: Use colorful flowering trees and
shrubs as an accent and to border your flower garden or yard. Use a
mix of trees that flower in the spring to trees that create vibrant
colors in the fall.
