Plant & Divide
- Plant spring bulbs.
- Plant cover crops.
- Plant and divide ponies and plox.
Clean up & Harvest
- Continue clean up of flower beds and borders touched by frost.
- Burn excess from cleanup that may harbor disease.
- Cut back long vines and canes.
- Harvest and store tree fruits as they ripen.
Water & Mulch
- Water deeply newly planted trees and shrubs before hard freeze.
- Mulch roses, shrubs, perennials, and newly planted trees.
- Continue to water fall bloomers as needed.
- Bring in remaining houseplants before hard freeze.

best time to plant bulbs for Spring, dividing overgrown plants, and
