Toning the Tummy: below are some
exercises for toning the stomach muscles.
Crunches with leg raises: Lie with back and hips flat on the
floor, hands clasped behind head, chin pulled down toward chest,
tummy muscles pulled in:
- 1st set of 25
- Left knee bent
- Right leg straight, with toes flexed
- Lift toward ceiling, raising right leg to 45 degree
angle, exhaling
- Lower chin and right leg, inhaling
- 2nd set of 25
- Left knee bent
- Right leg straight, with toes flexed
- Lift toward ceiling, raising right leg to 90 degree
angle, exhaling
- Lower chin and right leg, inhaling
- 3rd set of 25
- Right knee bent
- Left leg straight, with toes flexed
- Lift toward ceiling, raising left leg to 45 degree
angle, exhaling
- Lower chin and left leg, inhaling
- 4th set of 25
- Right knee bent
- Left leg straight, with toes flexed
- Lift toward ceiling, raising left leg to 90 degree
angle, exhaling
- Lower chin and left leg, inhaling
- Pull knees into chest, clasping arms around knees for the
count of 25
Crunches with both legs raised: Lie with back and hips flat
on the floor, hands clasped behind head, chin pulled down toward
chest, belly button pulled in, both legs at 90 degree angle, toes
pointed:
- Lift toward ceiling, hold for 2 counts, release, and lower.
- Do four sets of 25, resting in between sets with knees
pulled into chest.
