Kitchen & Laundry Room
A few areas that we tend to
overlook can be tackled this week. These cleaning tactics I use,
always refer to your owners manual in case your appliances have
restrictions with the use of baking soda or white vinegar as cleaning
solutions.
 | Monday: Coffee pot
 | Clean by brewing a pot of white vinegar only. |
 | Follow with 4 to 5 pots of water. |
 | Clean inside water reservoir and outside of brewer. |
 | Clean pot and lid, run through dishwasher if safe to do so. |
|
 | Tuesday: Sink
 | Sanitize by filling with hot water (almost to rim) and 1/4 cup
of bleach, let sit for a couple of hours. |
 | Using baking soda or other non abrasive cleanser, scrub around
faucet and sprayer. |
 | If you have trays for holding scrubs that pull down or slide
out, now is a good time to clean those too. |
 | Rinse well. |
 | Shine using windex. |
|
 | Wednesday: Washers
 | Clean the washing machine inside and out. Wipe down the
outside of the washing machine with windex and run a regular wash cycle using
1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda only. |
 | Clean the dishwasher inside and out. Wipe down the outside
of the dishwasher with windex and run a regular wash cycle, filling
the rinse dispenser with white vinegar and the soap dispenser with a
little of baking soda. |
|
 | Thursday: Under sink
 | Take everything out and clean. |
 | Throw away empty bottles, old cleaning rags, scrubbers etc.. |
 | Wipe down items, run dish drainer (I store mine under the sink)
through the dishwasher. |
 | Place the items back in an organized manner, grouped by
function, least used to the back, most used toward front. |
|
 | Friday: Garbage cans
 | Clean and disinfect garbage cans, inside and out. |
|
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in
mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD,
till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Hosea 10:12 KJV
