Toning the Tummy

Below are some exercises for toning the stomach muscles:

 

bulletCrunches with leg raises: Lie with back and hips flat on the floor,  hands clasped behind head, chin pulled down toward chest, tummy muscles pulled in
bullet1st set of 25
bulletLeft knee bent
bulletRight leg straight, with toes flexed
bulletLift toward ceiling, raising right leg to 45 degree angle, exhaling
bulletLower chin and right leg, inhaling
bullet2nd set of 25
bulletLeft knee bent
bulletRight leg straight, with toes flexed
bulletLift toward ceiling, raising right leg to 90 degree angle, exhaling
bulletLower chin and right leg, inhaling
bullet3rd set of 25
bulletRight knee bent
bulletLeft leg straight, with toes flexed
bulletLift toward ceiling, raising left leg to 45 degree angle, exhaling
bulletLower chin and left leg, inhaling
bullet4th set of 25
bulletRight knee bent
bulletLeft leg straight, with toes flexed
bulletLift toward ceiling, raising left leg to 90 degree angle, exhaling
bulletLower chin and left leg, inhaling
bulletPull knees into chest, clasping arms around knees for the count of 25

 

bullet Crunches with both legs raised:  Lie with back and hips flat on the floor, hands clasped behind head, chin pulled down toward chest, belly button pulled in, both legs at 90 degree angle, toes pointed
bulletLift toward ceiling, hold for 2 counts, release, and lower.
bulletDo four sets of 25, resting in between sets with knees pulled into chest.
