Do you know?

I'd like to ask you a very important question, if you were to die today, are you 100% sure you would go to heaven?

Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church where I (Sarah E. Trainer) asked JESUS to save me on 4/2/1978

bulletYou know, you can know
bulletThe Bible says in 1 John 5:13, These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of GOD, that ye may know that ye have eternal life...
bulletHere's how you can know
bullet The Bible says in Romans 3:10, As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.  And in verse 23, the Bible says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.  That means that I am a sinner, and you are a sinner also
bulletHere is where sin came from
bulletThe Bible says in Romans 5:12, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world...That one man was the first man, Adam.  He committed the first sin...And death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.  This word death does not mean just dying and going to the grave.  It means separation from GOD forever and ever in the lake of fire.  That is the punishment for our sin, and it is a debt you owe.
bulletBut, the story does not end there
bulletThe Bible says in Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of GOD is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST our LORD.
bulletGoing to Heaven is a free gift; it is absolutely free! You can't work for it, you can't buy it, you can't go to church for it, and you can't be good for it.  It is absolutely free!  It would be as if a friend went to the store, bought you a present, took it home, put it in a box, wrapped it, put a pretty bow on it. and brought it and gave it to you.  They did everything, all you had to do it receive it.  That is what JESUS did!  HE left HIS home in Heaven, came to earth, died on the cross, shed HIS blood, bore our sins in HIS body, and paid for them.  HE did everything. All you have to do is receive it.
bulletReview
bulletYou know that you are sinner, you realize there is penalty for that sin and that you can't pay for it yourself, and you believe that JESUS died on the cross and shed HIS blood for your sins.
bulletHere is what you need to do
bulletThe Bible says in Romans 10:9-13, If thou shalt confess with thou mouth the LORD JESUS, and believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised HIM from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture sayeth, whosoever believeth on HIM shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon HIM.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.
bulletYou can fill in your name, If ______ shall call upon the name of the LORD, ______ shall be saved
bulletJust
bulletIf you will trust JESUS to take you to Heaven when you die, if you mean this with all of your heart, pray:  Dear JESUS, please forgive me of my sins. I trust YOU today, JESUS, and only YOU, to take me to heaven when I die.  Thank YOU for saving me.  Amen
bulletNow if you were to die today, where would you go?
bulletThe Bible says in John 3:36, He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.....
bulletWhat next?
bulletTalk to GOD every day.  Ask HIM to speak to you and direct you to good Bible believing church
bulletLet him talk to you everyday through Bible reading.

I am eternally grateful for the country preacher who invited our family to a revival meeting.  During the revival, at age 13, I heard the gospel message, was convicted of my sins, and asked JESUS to forgive me of my sins and save me.  There have been many rough waters and peaceful waters throughout my life thus far, and I can truly say HE has never left me or forsaken me and has been that FRIEND that sticks closer than a brother.  Sarah E.
